It seems college kids are eating quite well these days. The Washington Business Journal reports that celebrity chef and Food Network personality Bobby Flay has signed a lease for one of his burger restaurants in College Park.
Bobby’s Burger Palace will occupy 3,500 square feet of space at The Varsity, a luxury student-housing complex in College Park. It’s also confirmed that ChiDogO’s, a Chicago hot dog restaurant on 14th Street NW, has signed a lease for 1,500 square feet at the same complex. The burger restaurant is slated to open early in September. It is the second Bobby’s Burger Palace to sign in the area – the first outpost is slated for 2121 K St., NW and will open later this year. Stay tuned for details.
UPDATE: Bobby’s Burger Palace is now open at 2121 K St., NW – and don’t forget to check out other new openings this summer in DC.
