Serendipity 3 Opening Tomorrow in Georgetown

Yet another New York City restaurant is planting roots in our nation’s capital. According to The Feast, Serendipity 3 tomorrow will open its first DC location at 3150 M St., NW, in Georgetown. The popular Manhattan-based restaurant is known for its whimsical decor, long waits, frozen hot chocolate and foot-long hot dogs. New items specific to the District will include jumbo lumb crab cakes, pan-seared Virginia striped bass and a Red Velvet sundae. A press release from the company adds:

“The D.C. locale will host many opulent and playful oddities that pay homage to the city’s political roots, including the over-8 ft. tall fiberglass statue of a smirking Abraham Lincoln, designed by high-profile D.C. artist and prop designer A.J. Strasser. The Georgetown locale will also feature a historical clock from landmark D.C. jeweler Galt & Bros, as well as a 1960s photograph of Andy Warhol and Serendipity 3 co-founder Stephen Bruce.”
