Shake Shack: Now Open
Eater DC has confirmed that Shake Shack will open on Tuesday, May 17, at 11 AM in the Golden Triangle. Located at the corner of 18th Street and Jefferson Place, it represents the first outpost of Danny Meyer’s increasingly popular burger and shake concept in Washington, DC. Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group will also open four eateries at Nationals Stadium in June. Union Square Hospitality Group operates some of New York City’s most beloved restaurants, including Eleven Madison Park, Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, The Modern and Union Square Cafe. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a trend – we’ve eaten at all of Meyer’s NYC restaurants, and they are outstanding. Shake Shack DC will be open seven days a week - and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
